Moonlit dawn fills the room As you slip away Candles full of dripping wax Remind me of our play The smell of you still lingers in The pillow case I hold My ears still ring of love words Sing and of stories told of old The youth in me is released When I think of your return A meal, a feast will be in wait For calories you will burn A drink in etched glass goblet Will moisten your parched lips When next we meet I'll greet you with the magic of my kiss © Copyright 2002 Connie McDonald - All Rights Reserved |
