...streaming sunlight cast long tree shadow onto me and into the clearing. Tall carved pillars, wrecked abutments strewed in tangled undergrowth. Looking up to see you standing under the ruined arch, wind blowing your hair, glint of light in mantis green eyes, softly looking at me, strength coursed into my being again, becoming once more vivified.Speaking to my mind, you said ''we must go,i have waited long enough, come follow me to the shadows''..... Peace is not only better than war, but infinitely more arduous - George - Bernard Shaw. |

This would be a most fitting and satisfying mystic follow-on of the cinematographic dénouement in your poem “Remain” but the mind-talk saddens the reader into the realisation that it was probably just an illusion, a dream. Exquisitely executed . . . are you involved in the production of movies? If not, perhaps you should be. Owl |

owl...you are correct...this poem is a follow on to Remain...i am hoping to keep adding more so perhaps keep an eye out for more? No i am not involved with film production, i just like to use words to allow people to see using their minds eye and imagination...thank you for the words of encouragement.. Goldenrose. Oh, yes, Goldenrose, I will keep looking out for more. The series is intriguing and excellently written and I do so enjoy excellence, and the fact that it is wrapped up in Nature, adds to my enjoyment of it. Owl |

now this 'write,' in my opinion, is absolutely superb! (Grand-fine imagery and Romanticism!) |
