Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Misfortune
If you haven't already met
may it not step up and greet you
What a tragedy it would be
to find yourself needy
So those who live where its greener
not have hard times bite them in the grass
Oh, to fall from such high attitude
to such a low demeanor
that one could become so common
as to see the other side
of the hostage coin
And claim a new perspective
then pledge allegiance to a flag
and the representative form of government
for which it stands
with justice and liberty for all
To rise above the lobby
and the leverage
the demagogues, “birthers”  and haters
To become uniters, helpers and healers
no more wheeler dealers
All of us
in this together
holstering our fingers of blame

I look at the "appeasers" to a failed president as the ones who holster their fingers of blame to those of a different mindset. The barrage of vomit coming from them is vulgar and not conductive to rational discourse.

To each his own my friend, but were you saying my poem is part of that "barrage of vomit"? ~L

Nope. I was saying the talking heads on CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS. The ones who refuse to believe the president can do no wrong, the ones who have tried to turn the man into some kind of a saint. That's who I was talking about, it was just your poem that gave fuel to the comments.

Okay, now I understand. Better put your finger away before you shoot yourself in the foot and blow your brains out LOL!

I can't remember the last time I actually felt I was represented for by the congressmen who represent me.   Enjoyed this, though probably have far less faith of ever seeing it come to pass.

They cannot represent a voice they cannot hear...and yet, why they are choosing to ignore the voices of a majority they can hear is beyond comprehension. Never give up hope, never become complacent.

"Never give up hope, never become complacent"

That would seem to be the goal - that we should all give up hope and become complacent - let the government rot (because they have forced it to cease functioning) and the private money can then step in and run the show.  I see no other sense in what is going on.  That would be the death of democracy.

What gets my bloomers in a bunch in a red hot hurry is all the incredible misinformation our electorate is being fed and willingly consuming as fact.
Thanks for commenting Krawdad.
