eveningtide
closing on unexploited time
stands before you
slate bare
waiting for you to harvest them to your will
its up to you
to discover the peace and light
to call your own
and pay homage to what you have discovered
in relation to yourself

still . . .
there are many of us
who has reverence
to our own sovereignty
of dark
it is there without having to search
lurking . . .
it is flawless in its unquestionable
knowledge that we will
take it on
linger with it
for it is so much easier to worship
our fallibility
than put time and effort
seeking
that elusive peace and light

You're right, Jerry.
Dark is an easier choice than light.
For good things and thoughts we have to strive.
Bad things don't need such efforts.

The dark is such a slippery slope and one you always know where to find.

This is an insightful poem my friend.
