Truth Mistakes Nothing Though Truth mistakes nothing it can be easily mistaken for most anything, masked by the endless riddles of the human condition and our ceaseless capacity to wish, hope, and dream. Shall we catch the wind, tether the dancing hills and shadows or query a thousand infinitesimally tiny, wild nocturnal things, marshaled for this occasion by the night, all bathed in the same random tincture of clear-bright moonlight and chaos beneath an ornamental sky in this timeless forest world? Is that the sound of distant laughter from ancient spirits and the dead, mad poets who have walked this way before the ‘now’ or just the meaningless flutter of our desperate lives and imaginings for some better days to come or days gone by? --- b. e. adams (9/27/2013) [This posting is to counter the frequent accusation that I write nothing but "happy/smarmy Romanticism and pseudo-sentimental syrup-dipped tripe," etc.] |

You really didn't need to prove that all you write are "happy/smarmy Romanticism and pseudo-sentimental syrup-dipped tripe." Still, I am fortunate that you did. I thoroughly delighted in your trip through our human condition and the mad poets, etc. It wasn't necessary, as I say to respond to your critics thusly, although is is good to vary ever so often our styles. ~*~ I don't have to eat sarcasm to recognize the flavor. ~*~ |

and our ceaseless capacity to wish, hope, and dream. The tough challenges of our human condition sometimes drive us close to total despair and yet it is also in our human nature to recover and rediscover the ability of ... wishing, hoping and dreaming. When you are true to yourself all is well, dear Bruce. Where some might see "syrup-drenched-stuff", I see only PURE BEAUTY. You are a very good Poet, you know that. Margherita |

Many thanks to each of you fine poets for your reinforcing comments about my ever-so-humble lil' "poetic scribbles!" |
