THE PLAN
21 September 2013

The plan is
to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed
tomorrow
but for now,
the sobbing
over at last,
I am paralysed
and emptied,
in numbed shock
at the cavity from which
my heart and soul
were wrenched out
and discarded
with the trash.
