the unscrupulousness of love
angry words hurled indiscriminately
deconstructing a fragile heart
shattering it like fine china
never quite able to put all the pieces back together
a dullness in her eyes
n'er to shine bright with love as before
within her melancholy eyes great pain is shown
enough is enough sometimes
angry retorts from her lips
tornado-like wrath comes from her broken heart
I so wish for her to regain that
lost fountain of love
hidden behind a darkened facade
truth revealed with scowling words
love is captive of depressing declarations
and what of her
how does she go about coping
she must resort to the primal need to survive
or face self-destruction

and here I am
my heart in sync with hers
feeling what she feels
don't say it is impossible to feel
the despair of someone you love
no! don't even go there
I bleed for her

What a bittersweet tangle you are in my friend...I do not envy you your situation.  But it does make for some awfully good poetry.

I hear you loud and clear, Lori. Sigh. Wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you.

The whole this is gut-wrenching, my friend, but especially that line ... and so truthful.

having the ability to bleed for another is true love in my book
this was soulfood for the heart and mind
