You tossed me a bone,
I caught it, ran with it.
Love is a chimera,
and words said,
even in alcoholic haze,
can be so devastating
destroying the fabric
of heart and soul.

Poisoned barbs rip skin,
flesh dissolves,
blood thickens, stops -

I didn't mean it . . . for
God's sake, I didn't mean it –
it was beer, and alcohol and pain
deep in my core,

and I've also said I want to die,
but dam it I didn't mean either one!!

Bones,
fragments of heart

There is a death

Eh . . . Antacid might bring some relief. Just kidding. The things we say have the strangest ways of returning to haunt us. I'm so grateful that in October 2011 I found a way to absolve my pain and anger and these days I live in complete peace and harmony. True. Very true.
