He stumbled aboard the subway, Something was strange about his look; The woman with me gripped my arm Her face was frightened; she was shook. Then the derelict sized me up, I saw me looking back at me; His eyes were mine; his face was mine, He was me but how could this be? His body was ravaged and old, Greedy for life that passed him by; He was an outcast in the world, He dropped his eyes looked like he'd cry. The woman stared at the old man, Then turned and looked me in the face; She mentally transferred her thoughts, You are that old man through times space? ©June 25, 2013 Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper write sideways. ~*~ |

That is the kind of thought that'll put a chill down your spine and a cold knot in your gut. Glad it isn't so my friend. Lori |

Me too, Lori, I'm glad it didn't happen, but it very well could have if I'd taken a different course in life. Thank you for being here so early in the morning. ~*~ If they give you lined paper write sideways. ~*~ |

this took me back to my Brooklyn days and riding the subways. looking in the windows always provided me with a distorted view of myself and was a constant reminder of living my life to its fullest really good write |
