The Universal Scheme of Things At the foot of a soft- crimson setting sun the violet twilight mist spiral dances in a slight Summer evening breeze which tries its best to ripple this mirror lake of mountains, clouds, and dreams to no avail, as gently, gently a giant moon rises to paint the rocks and tree-shadows in silver edged hues of this nighttime realm, when much of nature seems to slip into a ‘Deep-Time’ fantasy of ten thousand vanished worlds that once had been. What place has human vanity, greed, and folly in such wilderness or the universal, eternal scheme of things? --- b. e. adams (9/8/2013) |

Ahhh . . . Bruce, you paint your world in stunning hues and moonscape. You are lucky to be living in that wonderland of yours and we are lucky you pen these poems to tell us about it. ~*~ If they give you lined paper write sideways. ~*~ |
