The Skin of the Wilderness |

Her skin became hidden with his eyes under the small white linens they dared to dance against the rise of a small suns arch Whether it be a smooth run or the rugged edges of their bodies run she lost her eyes into the soft corners of his back Where the wilderness roamed the cattle, the deers bright eyed bushes treading lightly against the breeze under the haze of trees that traded spots with different plots of land Just inside, a few steps away lay two bodies two souls that met under the small notes of an early, evening night and for twenty years their heart never changed shape seized an escape or touched a foreign part of guilt just two; enshrined under the piece of linen that wrapped her body; cocooned his right palm on her forehead until she gently fell asleep. |
