Spirit of Life,
Spirit of wholeness, vitality and generosity,
Spirit of abundance, plenty and
we give thanks to you for granting us another year of Life,
for the gifts of our families, our friends and our communities of faith,
for the seasons and for the mysterious winds of fate.
  We give thanks for the eternal rhythms of Time;
the rising and setting Sun,
the waxing and waning Moon,
the ebbing and flowing tides
and the  rotating canopy of planets and stars.
  We give thanks for the cycles of our inner lives,
that keep us connected to the natural and divine.
  We ask you to inhabit our circle,
this sacred space and place;
for as we invite you into our hearts in this way,
we become stronger, more gentle, more loving,
more empathic, more understanding, more resiliant,
more compassionate and more complete.
  Hence forth, you delight our hearts,
fill our days with wonder and our nights with healing dreams.
  Henceforth, as a silent invisible presence and guardian spirit,
you are solace and comfort in our times of
walk beside us to show us we are never alone,
give us the strength, courage and endurance
to weather the sometimes savage storms of life,
remain to nurture, guide and love us for as long as we live,
and keep us as one with the magical, the enchanting,
the timeless, the numinous and the beautiful.
  And at the hour of our death,
you will be there to draw back from us the Breath of Life,
that our future generations might live,
and as we expire, our last conscious thoughts will be of you.
