Summer Breeze Just beyond a flaming sunset and the last magic glimmer of gentle-evening twilight, beneath a midnight blue mantle of clouds, stars, and bright moon rising, here where ancient silvered oaks dance the silken shadows to deep-forest tunes swept by a soft Summer breeze, there comes that irresistible dream-time of free-floating thoughts and memories of all the 'if only...should have beens.’ I shall surrender instead to a far different siren call of self-imposed forgetfulness, lost by choice in the mirror of her eyes, forgiving life in the ‘now’ to simply chance once more on love. --- b. e. adams (8/5/2013) |

Super poetry, Bruce, and I especially liked the last three lines. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
