WHAT THE DOGS SAY
7 July 2013

Out there
pillowed on the chill night air
and blanketed
in misted pauses of silence
canine alerts and explanations,
you sweet messengers
left lonely outdoors in the cold
if only
your attendants
would listen
and heed
your protective
and unanswered
love.

They know so much more than we do...as does much of the animal kingdom. My cats outside always know it's going to rain. They do a raindance before then scat or try to come in.
If only people valued the animal kingdom more and didn't try to harm the worlds they live. It's funny. I ws on the beach, the other day and some boys were chasing the gulls and they said to the birds 'get out of here' I wish the gull could talk, he would have told them ' you get out of here, I was here before you and will remain afterwards, the beach is MY home, you couldn't cut it through the winter time as I do" anyhow,

I know I'm getting a bit silly, but I do adore the furry ones

Yes, so many are, Ida, and it tears them apart, and in South Africa the law doesn't allow them any rights that are effective.
