Stickers Not the kind with the gummed behind Stickers with painful spines that hide in the grass waiting for unsuspecting feet Stickers stuck suck Sand Burrs is what we call them and they are bad this year Rooting in any little spot of dirt they spread out like wild fire Stickers hitch rides in houses on socks and shoe laces or whatever works They hide in the rug waiting for unsuspecting feet Stickers stuck suck LGR(C)7/27/13 |

I think you have expressed the universal hatred for those blasted stickers. We have them down here in the swamp too. What good are they? Roses have thorns, but they are beautiful. Nothing beautiful about the damned stickers. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

They are hardy little suckers too. They are hard to kill. I hate it when I find one stuck in a bathtowel (don't ask) Lori |

What is it? In the dictionary I've found only "agrimony", but in my country it's a rather nice plant, and we often played with its stickers throwing them into each other, and even decorated our clothes with them. And I don't think that you meant "nettle"... |

Gale to answer your question let me start by saying we have your kind too, we call them cockle burrs. Then we have another kind of sticker that is basicly like a 2 prong thorn. My "sticker" is about pea sized and has many different sized points sticking out and they are a light yellowish color. The plant grows flat to the ground and has very small leaves. Each leave has a darker spot in the middle. They look very innocent with their tiny yellow flowers. |
