There is something about a poem when it has the word "you" in it. Everyone believes it is for them. Good job, m'friend. |

"There is something about a poem when it has the word "you" in it. Everyone believes it is for them." No, Sunshine, I don't believe that "you" in anybody's poem is for me, especially in love poems! But I think that it's for "something" in me, as well as in everyone, who can relate to the message! Since we can feel and understand it to some degree, it's for God in us, isn't it? Even if we are not addressees, we are wires |

I guess you are right to some degree, Karilea, and sometimes I use "she," but for the life of me I just couldn't do it this time. Thanks for chiming in. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Thanks Gale. You have pretty much hit on it when you said it is the spiritual side of "you" that chooses to interpret the 'you" so personally. Thank you for being here. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Shakespeare often used "you" in his sonnets, but I never imagined that he wrote to me |
