Nothing is to be understood Only questioned beyond what's real Everything that we see Is it really what were seeing or is it all just a dream? Are we really walking forward, when to others it may be backwards? Is it true that were all upside right,when we may really all be upside down? What's the difference between our dreams and reality? One as to what we live in and the other what we may want it to be Tears that escape our eyes that we cry Are they really tears, or in another world just a giant waterfall causing chaos? When anger sets in and you have a choice to fight Do you really know what your fighting for or are you being deceived into another lie? The conversations that escape from our mouths are they all worth it in the end? Or is it just something to pass the time with what we have left? The feeling and emotions we feel within our souls Are they truly there or are they just another form of treachery? When laughs and smiles escape within our body Do we sincerely mean them or are they just another trick to conceal the pain in which we hide? When wine is a toast in which we use to celebrate Is it really the bitter of the wine we taste, or is it a foreshadow of the blood to be spilled once more? When walking on grass, sand, or cement How do we know we won't sink into another dimension or another life that has yet been discovered? The children that are born as the elderly die Yet in both circumstances we generally seem to cry So is birth such as great as death? Or is death far greater that we forget about being born? As the thoughts that don't cross our minds in everyday life You ask yourself next time, is everything that we see, live & breathe the truth? Or are we all just here living a lie amongst lies Kate |
