.

The planet is flat
You froze on the verge
A matter of fact
Two abysses merge
Two abysses claim
And you comprehend
That “up” is the same as “down”
In the end

You stay on your feet
Still able to fight
But ready to split
The beautiful mind
Your hell is around - your only belief
Reality frowned as you tried to live

No shelter, no friend
No lucrative craft
The story is bland
And boring enough
Your foe is blessed
Your love is a tale
It’s written, assessed
And put up for sale

So wishing to stop
That terrible mess
You murder your hope
To welcome your death
You look in the eyes
Of darkness and wait
It’s rolling the dice
Deciding your fate

Now listen to me
The voice of your heart
You wanna be free
Get rid of the smart
Alas!
Who is sure if death can release?
Its face is obscure
A phantom to seize

But you do not hear
The reason I told
So tired of fear
You almost behold
Its marvelous smile
Its friendly embrace
Forgot for a while
Your goal on the earth

Not even forgot
You can not recall
How talking to God
Entrusting your soul
You wished to try
And saw it so clear
And knew: that is why
You need to be here

That aim could inspire
A million lives
So greatly desired
Beyond any lies
The image of love…
Your memory’s blown
The abyss above
The abyss below

Your planet is flat
A spurious coin
If only you heard
That genuine call
If only you knew
That on the reverse
He’s searching for you
And blessing your birth

I agree, we do have a mission down here and should never stop to find out what it is especially, and then accomplish it.

This is an exquisite poem, dear Galina. One to read once again.

I am mastered totally by Love."

I enjoyed this, Gale, but I will read it again when I am in a better state of mind.  A mission I am on to save a dog from neglect, isn't going very well, and looks as though it isn't going to happen, but I will fight to the end, but I think the end of the fight is nigh, and I think I am going to lose.

Of course, Owl,
I wish you success with your mission!

"Reality frowned as you tried to live"

"Your love is a tale

Some great lines there. Gale.  A very deeply moving and powerful piece this is.  An awesome reminder for all of us that the contrasts between what we see, and what actually is, can be quite profound.  Much enjoyed.

Thank you, Michael!

You get the gist of the problem.
Sometimes our perception of everything is so wrong!

Thank you for reading and your comment, James!

And thank you, BluesSerenade!

It would be great, if someone, who appreciates his own life not too much, had heard that message,
for I can imagine how it feels to reveal after the end that you blundered so... silly,
and you can't play back.
