In my drunken state of being,
I'm about to say *@#% it to all.
But something keeps me here.
Songs from the 70s that fall
on my ears and make me "poetize"
and I don't consider the lies.

Friends, gone and here...
what do I have to fear?

There is no title to this,
I can only say I am still
I am, still...I am.
And not by my will.

But by God's only,
because it's not me controlling
this end of time
and it's unending tolling...

I'm still here breathing.

and thanks to Ron for letting me be here

Dear Dixie, I so appreciate being here with you and breathing together for a while. Life's challenges can be tough, but the gift of expressing our situations and moods into words is precious.

It's good to read you, your poem is very intense and touching.

Hugs.
Margherita
