He took his shirt off the scars targets of the snow banks that mirrored his tears for the sun began to peak as the morning began its rise His skin shades of black under his eyes unsettled his arms became rather thin much like the narrow alleys close to his third floor apartment His hips slowly dipped began to cave in his pants falling farther and farther and fathers telling him its going to be alright But the truth of night pledges ones sight to a different scene where just a few moments can seed a scar far deeper than the speed of light Father says its going to be alright but this isn't he days of a young, kindred spirit taking his fathers curls and hopping onto his lap This time he can't promise everything will be alright a hug, even if just as tight can't break this mans chamber of thoughts, anymore. |
