Sustenance With evening things return that the dawn and the day have scattered … memories that haunt us, nebulous fears lurking just beyond our event horizon, a thousand insecurities born of loneliness and fatigue … yet like the wilderness your very existence, presence, and love are my sustenance through all of the darkness. --- b. e. adams (7/2/2013) [an example of what one of my MANY 'critics' referred to as my typical "pseudo-sentimental syrup-dipped tripe"] |

I like the idea that the evening can gather together in one readable and understanding way all that the day has tossed willy-nilly, without form or substance. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Bruce - I've come to know that people who cannot write or appreciate poetry simply do not have any love in their souls or wisdom come to think of it. They give credence to the idea of reptilians in our midst - and I only believe in them because I once saw my ex "shape-shift". Only once mind you but it was enough. Still, he probably isn't consciously aware of it but for some reason or other I had to know it. Lovely poem! Ignore your critic! Helen |
