THE WIND'S SONG 1 January 2001 Who will share with me the wind’s song? The rush, the hush, crescendo, diminuendo, leaf dancers painting light and shadow waves on my dark night walls, and, in the breath pauses, the baton turns to tympanic crickets, muffled little drum barks and melodic highway hum. Then the wind, the wind, the slow blow, the ebb and flow, the come and go, the wind, the wind… Who can I tell? And who will understand? Owl |

Thank you, Gale. Yes, I believe you do hear the same song as I do. Smiles. Thank you, Michael, for your beautiful reply - yes, you certainly hear the wind's song too - and strangely, "whispers in the wind" is the first line of one of my poems, and the last of another completely unrelated poem of mine. this wind plays like a piper in the bakground of life, drawing us in, as it conjures all kinds of thoughts in our imagination, unfortunately we may try, but we will never capture it..and that is a good thing ![]() lovely words of a windsong ![]() |
