Good for you Jerry! Not only will it be good for you, but think about what a thrill it will be for those lucky individuals who get to rub shoulders with you! Lori |

Hah! You're full of it this morning, Lori. I imagine I'll continue my life as it is. I'm comfortable with it. Yesterday it just hit me that I might be going to the store unnecessarily because I was lonely. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Thank you Emma, that is a grand suggestion. Getting some much needed contact with others and helping out at the same time. This is a thought I would have associated with you because you seem to be a caring person. Thanks again. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

I'm pretty much in the same position as you, Jerry, except that retail therapy doesn't cut it for me and I've come to know that I don't feel comfortable in groups. Too much "energy" floating about. Anyway, been there, done that. At the end of the day just a distraction that doesn't really fill the void and yet people need people. |

I hear you talking, Helen. I guess it is just the time of my life and it will just have to deal with it. Thank you for commiserating with me. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

It's so hard to lose someone dear. Loneliness is an awful thing, when you don't seek for it. Jerry, excuse me please, if I get something wrong. My English vocabulary is not as large as I wish. I can't understand this line: "been a few years sine my wife died" What does the word "sine" mean here? I would think that it's "shine" with a misprint, but I'm not sure. I hope you won't consider me impolite. |

Hah! Gale your English is good enough to catch a typo. The word is supposed to be "since." The sentence should read . . . "been a few years since my wife died." Thank you so much for reading my poem and catching that typo. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Perhaps this "lonely time" is the time we are allotted to become acquainted with ourselves as difficult as it is, Jerry. Ida |

Very possible that is the key, Ida. I sure have the time to consider things without outside interest. Thank you for your input. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
