You're Forbidden, just as the fruit was for Adam & Eve

Someone I must not touch, just as it was amongst the tree

However the bad may be mixed in with the good

For everything is never done as it always should

The hunger that thrives within my thirst

For someone so unlikely at times will it hurt

Is there such thing as moving to fast

Or not being able to hold on & lose you within my grasp

The rush that came with no caution label

Will I soon realize or ever be able

To need someone as I have needed air

The quiet that builds when your not there

Such a life to live without taking a risk

When in the beginning is how we came to be like this

When asking whats a life worth living for

While all we've ever wanted for the young is so much more

You're Forbidden, yet I long for every moment spent together

After all in the end, nothing will last forever

Colors will fade, Leaves will fall

The young grow old, then will leave us all

The memories that remain forever planted in our minds

As the things we once loved we do for the last time

A touch that feels right, a hand to hold

To wipe away the tears as they unfold

You're Forbidden, then again you remain in my dreams

Unlike anything I've ever experienced, someone I never could've foreseen

Yet now as you exist here in my life

I never want you to go with you everything feels right

That you may be the one that I've been waiting for

To finally start my journey, perhaps become so much more

You're Forbidden, yet the war never seems to be over for me

As I continue to fight until I can no longer breathe

The happiness, the affection, the emotion which I desire

The way you make me feel, goes beyond the warmth of a burning fire

One day soon to say the words that have been at the tip of my tongue

Yet they wait for another day, consuming the air through my lungs

As time goes on, feelings and emotions get stronger

I'm afraid perhaps soon, I may not be able to hold back any longer

Patience is a word I can no longer use

For that is a feeling I absolutely refuse

You're Forbidden, yet my mind always strays to you

You're Forbidden, however I can't help but want to see you

You're Forbidden, but at this very moment all I want is to be with you

& when that day arrives is when everything changes

When we'll finally have what was meant to be

You have done a great job here, dear Kate. In this stream of consciousness, a dialogue with your innerself, you say things as they are. Temptation is there and what is considered forbidden, lures like a diamond between dark coal.

No advice can be expressed, except maybe trying to think of the consequences of our choices.

Well written.

Thank you Margherita! I'm glad you enjoyed! This was another one of those poems that just unfolded for me, as I had no way to stop it as it was being written! Everything just came out all at once as I'll say! I'm shocked myself as for writing it, however reading through it once again, I still like it myself!
