the lost years |

There was a picture of a small boy with curls that dared the sea to raise its waves Resting on a small wooden mantle living room, light, white toned wallpaper Big, blue eyes small cargo shorts white tee shirt, with a small hole on the bottom of its right side Sand beneath his feet his flips flops resting comfortably as he waved his hand size of a small seashell The sun casting down on him and the water as a moment was captured but an innocence would soon be lost for he was no longer with them, anymore So they stared at it every morning wishing they could touch his curls once more simply an afterthought. |
