     Reality Laments

When youth and Spring are
but a half-remembered dream
and memories have turned
to black and white,
Time holds no forgiveness,
though they be true
   'spirit-mates,'
for all those who should have
met in love by chance or fate,
so long ago and far away,
in a very different world
of greater hope and
endless possibilities.

Those days gone by were so pure and so full of dreams.

You've triggered some wonderful emotion, dreampoet~
