     Longing for the Night

Longing for the night to come,
in her finest garments of mist
  and shadows,
with stars as eyes ...
when only your voice,
through a thousand miles
  of dreams,
can lower the drawbridge
  of my heart
to let my spirit dance
  and sing.

Kathleen was a grand-fine, magnificent 'secular humanist;' however'
she was also an 'atheist' and did not 'believe in' a 'way up there' ...
