Like a blade of grass

*

With every breath I take
I inhale Your essence
savoring more and more of You
as I immerse
in the primeval tune of Love
that emanates from You.

Like a blade of grass
I quiver to the sound of your laughter
I bend with grace
to the breeze of your Spring mood
and I watch the world around me
as it dances to Your choreography.

I quench my thirst with morning dew
as each drop mirrors the beauty of You.
I eavesdrop to capture the gems
that fall from your lips
in the hush of the night.

With every breath I take
I connect with You,
source of awe and wonder,
distance shrinks to zero
as we expand in each other
erasing all remnants of dissonance.

I surrender
to the infinite harmony
of Your sacred tune of Love
and I soar in gratitude
through the ethereal space
where life’s burdens are shed
and lightness arises
on wings of butterflies.

Stunningly crafted and springing from  heartfelt emotions from within. This is a poem of love, never dying love, and it may be one of your very best, Margherita.

O, to wear butterfly wings, if only for a moment, something treasured forevermore.

May this love fill all of your days, in its timeless embrace of you.

Beautiful, Margherita, and lovely picture.  Yes, that place where life's burden's are shed calls very loudly sometimes.

You allow us to experience the photograph. Such ethereal beauty and childlike fascination you express here as if seeing both creation and creator through the mind's eye of that very fragile and delicate butterfly entwined with the blade of grass. Enjoyed!

Beautifully written, my friend, and of course the picture is beautiful.  And if you don't already know what it is, and are interested, try going here, it's a good site not only for So. Cal. (where I think I remember you being), but butterflies in general, that I visit for names.

http://socalbutterflies.com/

and under the heading in the green bar, Lycaenidae , then down to the
Subfamily Polyommatinae - Blues,
and I think it's possibly Ceraunus Blue.
But there are so many.

Dear Margherita,

You marry your poetry and the pictures so well - neither stealing attention from the other.  I love your writing and I admire you a great deal for the way you view the world.  You, my friend, are filled with love and faith.

Dear Jimmy, thank you so much for your kind comment as well as for the link. I think it is a Pygmy Blue. Small but enchanting nonetheless. Checked out the site and couldn't stop admiring all the butterflies, oh my! Btw. no, I am not in Southern California, I live in the Eternal City , where the sun rises 9 hours earlier than in California.

Sweet Alison, thank you dear heart, for your most loving comment. It gives me joy that you like my visions.

Love,
Margherita

I am smiling Jimmy ... just read a remark by "Honeybunch - Helen" where she too speaks of age related problems. Now will you just stop you two to think of age as the guilty one for some "tiny" lacks of memory! We are just a little bit distracted sometimes, because we LIVE. Our brains still work brilliantly I tell you (well just maybe sometimes it can happen that it works a little bit slower, but hey it works! )

Would love one day to visit California ... before "age related problems" make it impossible!! Haha, here we are again ....
