There is in my country,
A child who flew away,
Who left memories with the grass
And with the grey cats.

He just hung on a cloud which passed,
with its suitcase full of kisses,
he just hung on a cloud which passed...

There is in my country,
A child who flew away,
He wanted just to know,
Before fall snow,
What looks like a palm tree,
He wanted just to see
Before his life finishes,
A calm palm tree.....

This is absolutely delightful, Yann!  Especially enjoyed the grey cats, but every bit of it was perfect.

Hello Ida, yes indeed, it is so true I guess, our lives are bound to childhood, and if we forget that, may be we aren't leaving anymore,

thanks for the appreciated comment

And I fly along with this child, dear Yann, as you have created a most beautiful magic atmosphere here.

How sweet "the suitcase full of kisses"!

I felt it as a trip into a world of colors and warmth and adventure... a world to which children have privileged access.

Yann,

This is whimsical poetry at its best.  This has become a favorite of mine.  I absolutely love it.

Thank you, dear friend.
