The fence you have erected
     You say protects you;
It's strong and so resistance
     Keeps away the blues.

Hollow I love you's bends the fence;
True love makes it fall, sans pretense.

You deserve what's best in life
     Keep your dark at bay;
Forgiving yourself a start
     Then true love can play.

There you go!!  Reminds me of the lyrics from "Desperado"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nice write, JP~

This is something I need to read every day... as both reminder and commitment to hope.

Thank you, suthern, for your kind words. I fought myself for years and it was only after I learned how to forgive myself did I breathe pure, free air.
