A Visit to My Muse (the key to writing poetry) ‘Twas some fifteen minutes past when I two ticks short a quarter heard the phone begin to ring at which point I grew much shorter then I entered through my ear at the point this dude was writing and he said to come on in what he had was so exciting so I sat down on a chair where I made myself feel homey cause you know when phones do ring you just can’t be looking phony and I said to him with glee what’s this thing that you’ve got written and he said it was a poem and I’d better get to gettin’ so I took it from him quickly though my eyes were still a seein’ that the last line didn’t rhyme and I asked why… He gave no reason. |

My muse doesn't question anymore. He snickers. He laughs insanely. He puts fingers in both his ears and gives me the Bronx cheer. I think I've inherited Dante's most sinister muse. ~*~ How does Moses make his tea? Hebrews it. ~*~ |

Thanks Jerry... Dante's Muse, whoa, one could certainly imagine such, for sure, but, um, in response to your reply here, it seems to me maybe your muse might be more the three wise monkeys (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil) bearing NY Yankee baseball caps? Just sayin' cuz your muse does seem kinda fun! Thanks again. Always a pleasure to hear from you. |

Hey, Kit... I do hope you will, because I too am inspired by your poetry, be able to visit your muse more often and, getting back to my poem, why don't we, sorry to say, as the ol' cliché says, many times there really is "no good rhyme or reason." Happy you stopped by. |

I wish your muse would call me! This is so much fun that I know one read will not be enough. Nope. I'll be back and maybe I can catch him later .. and I will sure try to catch him. Alison |

"Ring! Ring!" Hello... Hi, It's me, Mr. Bob Muse. Is Alison Muse available? I've got a bit of Trochaic Octameter that I really need to talk to her about... Ha, Ha, Ha... How fun would that be! Can you imagine? Anyways, thanks so much for your fun and imaginative reply. |
