Now that it's been said and done a bad mad bell they've taken some poison meant for clarity the tint of it crossed over me. Sever clever--come undone! There was enough for everyone. Apparently we did agree for I have seen the needles bleed the bottles emptied on the floor and all these strangers have been sworn as family are now bequeathed there in stark transparency their bloody smiles of ravishing with middle-fingered charity the trade now made has set me free Black Betty and vanilla fudge-- Now that it's said? It shall be done. "Our father, who art in heaven..." So misbegotten is thy name. I'll ask for nothing but the blame the lots are cast forsaking me-- I'll pray instead for welcoming accepting what I've earned I'll be the broken branch upon the tree of life of love of family and all my sins atoned. I plead: I'm ready to come home. |

Though your references to what I think is probably pop culture here somewhat eluded me a bit, I've got "Oh, Black Betty Bambalam" in my head, but, yet, still, anyways, I enjoyed your poem's intensity and the sort of prayer like penance at the end was killer. Enjoyed! |
