she is as the doe eye of dawning day
tempting leather sides of leaning trees
that guard their metal steeds in stoic
but follow her whispers with willing

as a jaguar of sighs, bending wills
and the metal of muscle with desire
teaching languages to the moaning men
when they are helpless in her dungeon

seaward is a song of gypsies at dawn
when she is a woman tree, willowing warm
for that nectar that would widen her eyes
and make her see through the suitors whims

that would strum hollow stones to impress her

The landscape of love never looked so good.

Thanks for taking me back to share the view.
Makes me miss that time and place.

I've missed you, D~

It's a Picasso of words...

abstract and intriguing, they pull one in and threaten to never let go

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

The Jaguar is my favorite car.  It must be an excellent tree. I had one parked in my driveway many suns ago.  There are many ways to define the sexy slide of its shine it would seem.  Enjoyed your words here today.
