in my mind there is a place
as close to me as Savoie's Swamp
hidden in misty tomorrows
this place sits beside the slow running
bayou of forgiveness
you are there

Wow, Jer... the "place" you write of seems so much more envyable than the place I wrote of today.
quote:

Thanks, Michael, I haven't read your poem today, been busy all day. Going there after I thank you again for stopping in my part of the world. I know you don't write about the world as I do, although I have my dark moments.

Thanks for allowing us to share in a bit of voyeurism with you, and, I agree, this 'place' this 'bayou of forgiveness' where you have taken us and where you have been taken back (two meanings) is a very enjoyable place.

Yes indeed, Bob, it is a good one and my thoughts wander there off and on. Good thoughts to have I must say. Thank you for being here.

Thank you, Lori, and what makes it special is the woman who is waiting . . .

Yeah, you're right, James, welcome to Savoie's Swamp, and thank you.
