I Threw Your Pictures Away

Each picture
tells a story
of times we
spent together,
of moments we shared,
precious moments alive in my heart
that I will never forget (or will I)
although I do know that the pictures
will fade more every day
as the years pass since you went away,
still to this day
I have no desire
nor possess the strength
to throw your pictures away,
no not even one,
why should I
when they are
the only tangible piece
of you that remains.

Besides, the pictures are embedding in your heart, so you might throw them away, but you never lose them.
