THE FAIRY RING MEETING The garden forest came alive For the Fairy Queen had arrived She flew down on gossamer wing To her toadstool in the fairy ring She smiled her very best greeting For this was a special meeting To converse with the woodland creatures For they were her very best teachers Owl was her wisest friend On her good advice she could depend Winter was still hanging around And Spring was nowhere to be found The Queen said, "My magic has lost it's spell. What wisdom, dear Owl, do you tell? I need your help to awaken spring So again the baby birds will sing." Owl replied, "You need a special kind of fairy dust In the Sandman you can trust To sprinkle Winter with sleepy sand So Spring will come forth to green the land." The plan worked like a magic charm And the land became serene and calm A shimmering sunbeam shone upon the fairy ring To announce, at last, the arrival of Spring! Oh, big smiles and happy tears and thank you Kitty-Kat! I am glad you liked the photo of the fairy ring - and what a delight it was to meet your Fairy Queen granddaughter Victoria when she bravely flew all the way here to South Africa on her tiny Fairy Queen gossamer wings. She is every bit as sweet as you are, and that is a huge compliment to her! The forest creatures haven't stopped talking about her with me since she was here! Hugs to you and Her Majesty, Fairy Queen Victoria! Owl |

What a magical adventure and such wise advice given by our dear friend Owl to put the winter to sleep for spring. The Sandman ... who would have thunk? Enjoyed! |
