Hard Core Loss I never realized How much she kept me From writing, typing Composing on paper, computer, this very Interconnection… Of any media source…. But she did. She kept me from screaming out loud By listening, smiling, nodding, Asking questions, just by being there. We were old school. We were where it was when there wasn’t Any internet. We were friends, face to face, being One to the other, moments passing without Words, just face speak. Where one’s eyes Crunched with pain When hard smiles spoke volumes, And we both leaned in, to hug, words unsaid because our throats were straining with grief. But she is gone, and now, where is the Outlet, the fear, the temperance of “it will be okay,” “it will be all right” “you’ll feel better, tomorrow.” Nowhere are those words, nowhere in sight Or by sound, or by touch. Because of her, I miss so many others So much. © KRJ 4-16-13 |

This has me in tears, Karilea. I am so sorry for your loss, and although those words are trite, I really feel and mean them. Hugs Owl |

Sad to lose someone we really care for, my friend, and this explains that loss well. ~*~ I know a guy who's addicted to brake fluid. He says he can stop any time. ~*~ |

Diane, Jerry, Lori, Thank you for reading. I guess the gray days we've been having just led me to melancholy and memories. I truly appreciate your reaching out, but even more, your understanding. Thank you. Sunshine |

So sorry for your loss. There's a special bond between women that I'm afraid I'll never understand, sorry, but, still, I can imagine as I see my wife with her special girlfriends and, though how important I know the writing, etc. etc. is, but, considering, if my wife was to lose her's or one of her's, I felt, I know the missing of your very special friend is the thing that has got to be the most prevalent here in your poem. Enjoyed! ![]() |

Bob, that you read this, that you understand that sometimes you cannot understand, meant a lot to me in your disclosure. I thank you for reading, as it means a lot to me...I'm not here at PiP much just now, I'm not anywhere much just now, as I am helping my husband who has been diagnosed with Parkinsons....and we go from day to day, adjusting in ways that young people have no idea.... Ida...thank you, my friend...you are always in my corner, and I love you for that. Bless both of you for being YOU! |

Oh Karilea ... boy, did this get the tears going. You've captured the essence of the closeness two people can share so beautifully. Such a lovely write. My thoughts went straight to my mom during this read as I miss her in this same manner. Much enjoyed. ![]() Love and big hugs to you, /Kit |

That feeling of a real friend is unsurpassed by a technologically rendered one. I am sorry for your deep loss |
