Meanwhile In the Jungle

She treated me nice
the way Jane treated Tarzan,
meanwhile out there
in the jungle
danger was lurking
lions were roaring
jaguars were smirking
and the drums
the incessant beating
of the drums
was calling me out
luring me in
loving me tender
in the avenues of adventure
so I fell
like a drunken sailor in Hong Kong
using up every last ounce
of his liberty
until desires were fulfilled
and his wallet was empty
if you can believe it...

From Tarzan to drunken sailor in Hong Kong! WoW! Now, that's some poetry. Enjoyed!
