Vampyre XLII

Hiding in silent shadows
That were born in the light of a shrouded moon
Waiting, wanting, watching
Knowing I will have you soon
Slowly you slip into sleep so sound
Casting off your mortal chain
While the tossing and turning of your restless heart
Reveals more than just your pain
As ancient memories buried deep
Primal urges now awake
And within your fevered dreams
You long for someone, your soul to take
Too long have I roamed these endless nights
Searching but never finding
But finally in you I have found the one
By morning there will be a binding
For in the dark I can smell your need
And you have heard my call
I don't want your love for just one night
I want to have it all
For eternity I need a mate
To run the night with me
And that is why I'm at your side
Soulmates we will always be.

XLII? What the....??? I thought this was a work in progress? What have I stepped into? Is this already a book? Are you published? Is it going to be a movie? I didn't happen to ruin the climax for everyone else because of my curiosity did I? I hope I didn't! I hope! You're not like a real vampire writing her autobiography are you? I mean, um, so you know, I kinda get freaked out even when I get bit by a mosquito... Just curious, is it OK to call a female vampire 'vamp' for short? I mean, um, is that politically OK?  Anyways, I see you've already taken this work to a place where I was hoping it might go, sooooo, Very Nice. I enjoyed it and, um, Thanks... for sharing. I think.

Well Bob, I don't want to burst your bubble but V is a man.....to be specific, my alter ego.... and there are more than 100 poems in the Vampyre anthology.....most of them written for the woman I love...hopefully this won't ruin the experience for you...LOL
