... And what point is there to long
For a friendship over the Internet
when that will never be?
Why am I not satisfyed with the memories
and objects to keep her always with me?
Because that is all that there will ever be.
This poem comforts me a little.
Because it tells me that you, like me,
are longing for what will never be
Even if the longing is pointless
Because it isn't going to change anything.
Thank you for that ever so brief connection with you.
