let temptation lead you to the hitching post dismount follow it to shabbytown give in to it sidle up to temptation give it a wet lick across the darkness don't sweat the small stuff five hundred years from now nobody'll care hell . . . five minutes from now nobody'll give . . . you know so in your midnight hour grab yourself and wave it around don't bother making sense of it all Alfie . . . your old wounds are . . . old make some new ones why'don't'ya new desires conquests are there for the taking (or is that for the asking?) they are there in the darkest of the dark waiting . . . for you to claim them ©March 9, 2013 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways . . . ~*~ |

Yep...I had an ice cream sandwich last night...it was mint chocolate and I am so ashamed of myself ha...but I gave into temptation...actually I had bought them for my grandsons but we have more and if they dont get here quick they might be all gone.They are coming for Easter vacation. Enjoyed your words as always Jerry...you always give me a little chuckle...not all the time but most of the time ha. ~Victoria |

That's funny about the ice cream. Temptation is fun most of the time, huh? My favorite ice cream is Breyers Reese's Peanut Butter . . . I'm happy you find a chuckle or two in some of my poetry. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways . . . ~*~ |

Hmm all this talk of ice cream is making me want to cave. I promised my boyfriend to be good and lay off the bad sugar. Anyways, all ice cream aside, I enjoyed reading your poem Good stuff! |
