            Empty vessel

Amid these ancient Winter woods,
where an old road to nowhere
vanishes in the deep-forest heart,
a winter wind whispers with the
  falling snow
of infinite wonders  beyond all
realms and schemes  of men;
and, in the Zen of this moment,
by pure and silent reflection,
the true nature of things
speaks to the unencumbered
  mind and heart
to awaken from a dream
  within a dream …
forgiving  self and all of life.
