standing in the doorway
watching it rain
it is raining fiercely
puddle overflowing toward
the gutter
flowers seem to actually strain their stems
for the drink they so cherish
soon it will be the sun
rain and sun
things that grow in the earth basic food group
course you can get too much of a good thing
Noah's Flood for instance

I love to listen to the rain as it rained here today. Those showers will bring May flowers real soon. Does zoe like the rain?

Zoe isn't crazy about it. If it is just a light misty kind of rain she's good to go, but anything stronger she balks. Thanks for spending time on my poem, Victoria, I appreciate it.

I feel the same way about the snow!  Oh, it's pretty enought at Christmas time when it sparkles in the sun like a postcard and has a fairytale quality.  But seriously - it's March.  I'm over it!

Moderation can definitely be a good thing.

But I hope you won't use too much moderation today... celebrate yourself and enjoy your day! Happy Birthday!
