Lost In Thailand

I didn't realize
that my passport
was my key
to the kingdom;
unfortunately,
upon the first
night of my journey
my passport had slipped
from my possession
while inside the taxi
that was delivering me
in a drunken stupor
to the hotel that I
had hoped to inhabit.
Then the cold hard fact
struck me like a runaway train
inside an empty brain,
no passport...no room.
Fortunately for me as I departed the hotel
I heard a voice from across the street
calling out to me and it was
the very same woman I had
shared spit with at the club,
and she would be pleased to take me in.
So we shared some delicious Thai cooking
and her cozy bed for some days and nights forward
until one day the same taxi driver just so happened
to be visiting his auntie who was the same woman
I was staying with and he brought with him
the passport he had found in the back of his cab
while doing his monthly clean-up.
Three days later I was on a flight
back to Hawaii and back to my girlfriend
who would never know all the details
about the two weeks I was
lost in Thailand.

Yeah ... think so , and what's your girl friend's email address... not the girl friend staying with the cab driver, huh??

Enjoyed, as always, James...
