This everlasting section of our love, tearing at our imagination, the joy, sometimes pain kicks us with the force of a landslide, then . . . just as suddenly, it retreats back where it is supposed to be, within our hearts. Like a highway stretching out for miles across the immensity of the countryside, we, being the only inhabitants of this setting. Are we so innocent in our desire, as gullible as when we believed in children's nursery rhymes? My heart is glad with what lies in the future; the past can be no less (or more) than it is. Our dreams and love can warm February nights; dreams some would like to destroy, but no! they shan't take them from us, they will be what they will be in hearts forever young. ©February 8, 2013 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways . . . ~*~ |

Are we so innocent in our desire, as gullible as when we believed in children's nursery rhymes? I loved that comparison Jerry...and the ending...you can't take memories away...so true...Enjoyed your words as always. ~Victoria I was adored once too. |
