On the Cusp of Spring On evenings like this… when ‘life’ seems so lovely…or hopeless, (with epiphanies tapping at the windows) the prehensile mind sparks to consciousness in the glow of inestimable ‘truths’: that it likely takes a lifetime to truly ‘listen’ to the wind or query a cloud and ‘see’ what it ‘knows’… that there is far more ‘meaning’ in a deserted meadow by twilight, a Redwood forest 'cathedral,' or one trembling blade of grass, than in all the ‘sacred’ tomes, dogmatic rituals, or stone and steel edifices of men … that none of our ‘raging differences’ really matter only our commonalities of needs especially for love ... in such a grand-scintillating cosmos of ‘Deep-Time’ potentialities and noctilucent ‘poet-dreams’! --- b. e. adams (3/10/13) [we need to 'think' universally and 'act' globally (in concert as one 'family of mankind') NOT just 'think' globally and 'act' locally as the cliche goes (which is actually off by one order of magnitude) ... all the focus on parochial differences in race, nationality, religion, etc. is the basal source of the all-too-many scourges of human history] |

Couldn't agree more, dear Bruce, with your in depth visions and considerations. Very well constructed poem that has great impact. Margherita |
