Unbendable I walk earth this earth alone, My eyesight's bad, and I creak in my bones. Still, I believe I'm good for one last dance, And truth be known, there's still pride in my lance. I firmly look to turn wrong into right, And to shine light into the dark midnight. It's an old war, has to do with man's shame, Since time has begun it's all been the same. The young fight until blood runs in the street, And hope that on this day death they can cheat. I looked within the darkness of my soul, All I found was a man out for a stroll. He hid in the shadows and said to me, You'll be dead on the morn, of that I see, To save yourself find demons in your heart. I looked for my demons all a la carte. I found them all having brie and black tea, Not hard to find because they all were me. ©February 6, 2013 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways . . . ~*~ |

I can relate to this greatly. I know what it's like to be unable to escape your demons within. Very much enjoyed. -nimd |
