Sleep Well My Sweet Sleep well my sweet, despite this raging storm, Your solace stands at hand though tempests loom. Recline in peace, protected, safe and warm, As sheltered as a babe within the womb. The luxury of unencumbered rest, Tranquility and freedom from despair, Are yours if you but lie against my breast, And claim the comfort waiting for you there. My arms remain your respite and relief, Securing all your needs at any length. Your remedy, unfailingly, from grief, Their firm embrace, your refuge and your strength. Come to my arms, your fear will taste defeat, And lay your burdens down, sleep well my sweet. |

This is a very well-written sonnet, david3. I like how it continuously offered solace and rest within welcoming arms . . . Oh, welcome to PiP . . . ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways . . . ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (03-02-2013 05:25 PM).] |

Exquisitely written. The rhythm and rhyme flow perfectly. No convoluted sentences to make them come out right. A weaving expert are you. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
