.
As I hold you gently against my chest
I feel the longing within your breast
then Morpheus calls you into his arms
and you find it so hard to resist his charms
as he makes you promises he'll never keep
then he takes you away into dreams so deep
where he leaves you to wander as your lost soul cries
begging to be free of its mortal ties
but when you find out that it's not to be
slowly you wake and return to me
then I kiss the tears as they fall from your eyes
tasting the bitterness of all the lies
that have filled your life all these long years
as you cowered in the darkness consumed by your fears
and as I warm your flesh that has become so cold
you let loose of the demons that you now hold
your night sweats have ended, you know I'm the way
that I can bring you back into the light of the day
so let your hunger consume me as I make you high
as I place my lips to yours and silence your cry
I will break through the wall you hold as your shield
you will finally give in, to my love you will yield
and when in the end your heart has been freed
you will know I'm the only drug that you'll ever need.

Sometimes a true love is really all we need. It is also the implementation of that true love that can truly defeat Morphine . . .
