I have no interest In the songs of birds Except as clues as to Where they are That old gray squirrel Feeding among Oak acorn shells Will get no mercy For all his years What is mine Is no way yours In between I mark the hours ‘til one arrives To eat or treat As an evening dish As is my pleasure When I wish Folding back her ears . |
